Vintage Antique Art Deco Czech Vauxhall Mirror Glass Paste Necklace

Description

This is a gorgeous antique Art Deco era necklace dating from the late 1920's. It's made of Vauxhall glass, which is transparent molded glass with a mirrored back which reflects and shimmers in the light. This is a rich Amethyst colour. There are 25 panels, each in the shape of a four petalled flower, and with molded facets. They are claw set onto individual brass panels fitted to the shape of the flowers. There is a brass spring ring clasp.
Marked Czechoslovakia on the clasp ring. Measures approx 16" long open end to end by 3/8" wide at the clovers. No missing stones. Normal wear from use and age. No big or major chips to crystals.
The condition is excellent. The foiling is bright and shiny. The clasp is secure. The brass setting backs have a mellow patina. This is a stunning example of this type of jewelry in very fine condition.
