Necklace Art Deco Czech Topaz Fire Faceted Mirror Glass 1920s 1930s Chechoslav
Condition / Description:
Beautiful Estate Piece stored for years. Clasp opens and closes easily. Since this necklace has  age (almost an antique) the buyer should have it professionally cleaned and prongs checked and maybe a safety chain added to keep it safe in case clasp comes open. I've checked it over with a magnifying glass & jewelers loup and found no damage or issues. PLEASE see all pictures, measurements and quarter comparison.

This classic. faceted, fan-shaped, rectangle takes on a whole new dimension via theseTopaz Czech stones that glow with reflected light with colors of
Topaz, Honey, Amber,Yellow & Chocolate Brown & it changes with the lighting.
Produced during the 1920s-30s and often in Czechoslovakia, these pieces are very beautiful.  The glass stones are mirror-backed they are sometimes referred to as Vauxhall glass.
Vintage Czech costume jewelry is known for its workmanship and it's pretty mirror-glass stones. The glass is excellent quality, with good clarity and consistent color, and nice sharp molding and rich jewel-like color.
Not antique yet but in the not so very distant future, all of the wonderful deco-era Vauxhall style jewelry will be officially antique
This necklace is marked Czechoslov its jump ring as can be seen in the picture.

Measurements 15" in length and stones are 0.75" in length at widest point.
Brass and tin/lead alloys were the typical metals used in Czech jewelry, sometimes with a thin wash of gold or silver.
